Overview

This evidence review underpinning NICE guidance NG105 aimed to determine whether local suicide plans are effective and cost effective at preventing suicide, and to examine what components are present in effective plans. The practice of ‘suicide audit’ in the review refers to the systematic collection of local data on suicides in order to learn lessons and inform local suicide prevention plans.
